2017 Summer & Fall Workshop Series

 

EXPLORING OUR WILD EDIBLE & MEDICINAL PLANTS

This 5-part workshop series runs monthly from June to October 

Each 3-hour workshop includes:

  • A plant identification walk

  • Harvesting tips in each stage of growth as the season progresses

  • Hands-on learning of safe & effective uses for plants as food and medicine

  • A “make & take home” herbal project

     

These workshops are geared towards empowering participants with the skills & knowledge to use medicinal plants safely & effectively for various health conditions.  

Some of the health topics we’ll cover:

  • first aid
  • nutrition & digestive support
  • herbal skin care
  • building & balancing immunity
  • reducing pain & inflammation
  • allergy management
  • reproductive health
  • hormone balance

All Workshops are Held at the Hillier Hall in Prince Edward County
