Each part focuses on a particular area of health, and provides hands-on practices, recipes and a good amount of time for specific  Q & A.

Before you call the doctor (or even the herbalist for that matter), here are some simple, affordable time-tested tips you can try at home.

Part 1

Thursday December 2nd  7-8:30 pm EST

This class will focus on supporting immunity over the long term to help build resilience in the face of the various pathogens that get easily passed around, especially in the winter months.  We'll look at foods to emphasize, herbs that can offer support, and a few other practical ideas that can help keep us healthy and strong, even amidst the chills and stresses of daily life in our cold winters.

 

 

Part 2

Thursday December 9th 7-8:30 pm EST

Livestream via Zoom

This class will focus on helpful ways to deal with respiratory infections and the many symptoms that accompany them.  We'll look at remedies for coughs, colds, fevers, earaches, headaches, swollen glands, sore throats and other such symptoms.  We'll discuss ways to protect the body while it undergoes the important process of working through illness and restoring vitality and strength.  Recipes and notes will be included, and there will be time for Q & A.

Part 3

Thursday December 16th 7-8:30 pm EST

First aid in the household will be the theme of this class.  We'll talk about ways to safely respond to emergencies like burns, cuts, possible sprains or fractures, bites/strings, asthma attacks, cardiac events and strokes.   We'll focus on remedies that are easily found in the pantry, or somewhere nearby.  Even when medical care is needed, these tips can help to manage symptoms and open up a bigger window of time until the necessary treatment can be reached.  Time for Q & A will be allotted, and recipes/notes will be included with the class.
